MEANINGFUL WORK

Raku is a descriptive word, a technique for firing pottery in ceramics, and a symbol used in Reiki energy work.

The word Raku, in Japanese literally means - ‘enjoyment’ or ‘pleasure’. 

In ceramics, Raku is a technique where a stoneware piece is kiln fired then immediately cooled in a covered chamber of a wood fire. This results in the vessel bursting into flames! The Raku fire combustion magically changes the pottery, branding it in a pattern of fire and smoke. The result is unpredictable. Each piece is seared uniquely and transformed. Beautifully changed by the fire. 

When used in Reiki energy healing, the symbol known as Raku, or the “fire symbol”, is used to guide a bolt of fiery life        force energy through the body's energetic meridians, clearing, healing and grounding into Mother Earth’s energy. 

MY INTERPRETATION

I named my service Raku to evoke the boldness, enjoyment, unpredictable beauty and essential energy in the element of fire. Symbolically serving as a guiding light back to beating pulse that keeps us alive. In session, we energetically stoke and temper the warming spiritual force, to nurture and comfort when enduring life's cycles.

I created Raku Reiki Intuitive Healing to support the care and healing of your beloved spirit. Through spiritual guidance, self-love practices and energy medicine, we enter the gateway of wellness to illuminate every facet of your unique beauty.
